Why give?
God has blessed us in so many ways – our talents, finances, opportunities, possessions – and in return, He asks that we give back only a portion. It is through this commitment that we enable more hearts to be reached, more lives to be changed, more souls to be stirred, more families to be brought together and more hope to be shared. With Christ, there is as much receiving as there is giving. We are so thankful for the resources with which we are entrusted through His faithful provision to each of you and hope you experience God’s grace more and more.

What is a tithe?
The word “tithe” is derived from the Hebrew word ma’aser and it literally means a tenth. Ten percent of everything belongs to the Lord. In Malachi 3:10-11, God says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house.” The ‘storehouse’ is the Old Testament picture of the New Testament church. So as New Testament believers, we worship the Lord with the tithe; or the ten percent.

What are offerings?
Often, people feel called to give over and above their tithes in the form of offerings. If you choose to do so and would like to designate your offering to a specific area, you can select any of those listed below. Following is a bit of information about those areas and how your offering will be utilized.

* General: Offerings marked for general usages are applied where they are needed most within the Community ministry. Determinations are made after prayerful consideration by church leadership.
*Missions: We partner with missionaries and mission organizations so we are able to use both the human as well as the financial resources with which God has blessed us. Bringing these together enables us to reach more people – and see more lives changed - throughout the world.
